How can I clean my Norton Pike stones with out damaging them?

The easiest way to clean a stone that has swarf build up or that is gummed over is to soak it in warm soapy (dish soap with degreaser) water for a few minutes and then wipe clean with a regular sponge. For hard to get out spots use a scotch type pad.
